The long established Wilton Carnival has been through a few changes in the past years but has come back stronger and better for July 2018.

The Carnival and combined with a successful Touch Rugby Festival and has been extended to a five day event 4th – 8th July.
Starting on Wednesday 4th July with a Wacky Wheelbarrow Race, then a Charity Pub Quiz and a Carnival Bingo nights.
On Friday 6th July there is a new event “Music in the  Meadow” at Castle Meadow at 7.30pm with live music.
Saturday 7th is the main “Touch in the Town” Touch Rugby Festival, also in Castle Meadow from 10.00am – 10.00pm with a host of activities, bar, music, Fun Dog Show, and a Tug o War.
The Carnival Procession will be re-instated this year with a theme of “Around the World” leaving Waterditchhampton at 2.00pm and continuing into Castle Meadow.  The day’s fun and entertainments starts at 8.00am with a car boot sale, and all the usual food and drinks and for the first time, a Single Wicket Cricket Contest and a Duck Race and much more.

This is a community event and people are required for the touch rugby, cricket, singers for Friday night, pub quiz teams, bingo contestants, car booters, tug-o-war pullers, helpers and of course entries for the Carnival Procession.  Please contact Pam Edge, Secretary for further information : 01722 742667 or email  and click on the detailed newsletter  link below:
